    1.Elijah resurrected a widow's son.

    2.Elisha resurrected a child.

3.A man who touched Elisha's bones came to life.

    PERSONS RESURRECTED BY JESUS:

    1.Widow of Nain's son.

    2.Jairus' daughter

    3.Lazarus

    Jesus himself was resurrected.

    OTHERS WHO WERE RESURRECTED

    1.Peter resurrected Dorcas,known as Tabitha.

    2.Paul resurrected Eutychus.

Do these nine resurrections recorded in the Bible give certain proof that the dead can be brought back to life........PHYSICALLY,in the flesh and blood body? And why are there no recorded responses from those who were brought back from the dead as to the condition of the dead when they themselves were dead?Wouldn't their testimony about what happens at death be strong evidence that when your dead ,you are actually dead and not somewhere else?

I find it strange that these nine accounts are recorded as fact without the dead persons( which the claim is made about) given any account of it themselves.

With the exception of Jesus, and one has to believe in the Bible as truthful in reporting these nine resurrections. What are your thoughts about this topic,is it proof enough for you or not?

Blueblades, who has not died and been resurrected yet, so he cannot confirm any of this.

In the Lord of the Rings, Gandalf comes back from the dead. I find that account every bit as credible as the Bible's claims.

Yes, it would have been strong testimony . . . unless the condition of the dead wasn't in any dispute.

Maybe nothing is recorded because they didn't have a whole lot to say? If I went to sleep, and didn't remember any dreams, then there wouldn't be much to tell when I woke up.

On the other hand, can you really consider any account that hasn't been independently verified as being "certain proof" of anything?

First decide what is proof to yourself, before seeking an answer… for an answer I can give you… but proof I can not.

I believe an answer to your question parallels the one that perplexed Nicode'mus in John 3. Truly I say to you, in the spirit of Jesus’ own words, “do not marvel” about resurrection or about being born again for it is far more important to worry about how you speak to your fellow man, than it is to concern yourself about a fact of life, that you can not change.

Then grasshopper snatch the pebble from my hand and all will be revealed.. lol

Blue I have started to think that maybe some of these were not physically dead. Just like when they were healing ones they attributed all sickness pretty much, with having a demon. Did all these people really have a demon or where they simply sick or diseased? Often when they healed someone the word saved could have been used instead of healed according to the reference bible.

So what if Elisha res one child..he killed 42!

    ...talking deep this morning

If deep ye see, then deep ye are.

If you doubt the spoken word, how will you percieve the unspoken? If you doubt the acts of Christ, can you believe the acts of men? We live in an age in which a truthful person is disbelieved, a liar believed and the insignificant are having their say.
