Has anyone ever had any dealings with some of the UK District Overseer's such as David Algar and Paul Presland. I remember listening to them speak at Circuit Assemblies and you couldn't hear a pin drop. Just wondering if they are still DO's?

David is now the DO for the London District.
Paul Presland is one of the MTS Instructors along with Mike Purbrick.
David Dutton is now on the branch committee
David Carter is now off and very ill
Albert Storer on the Yorkshire District
George Hilton is the DO for the Upper highlands as well as the CO for Sheffield
I've got the latest list somewhere.
I presume like most you enjoyed David Algars talks, just because he had such great charisma

wasnt David Carter in the SE for a while. I seem to remember he had a habit of calling sisters petal and flower from the platform.
I believe his wife died a few years ago.

Yes Pauline Carter died about 5 years ago.
He was the only DO to have covered all the Districts in the British Iles.

David Carter married a pioneer divorcee 30 years his junior. They are in a Glasgow congregation.
David Algar may have charisma but he's a bit of an arrogant chump in my opinion. Reminded me of Ron Drage, a smoothy business man.
