Hi All
Got this surprise in my letter box today.Just got my personal invite for the Memorial this year, through the letter box! I am PIMO. Goes to show how little info they have on me.They do not even know where I live and so thinking it is a "worldy" persons house pushed one through. So I am going to keep it this way.
Have any one of you had one yet?

We have not received ours yet.
We received one last year with a note from an Elder. Guess what? He spelled my first and last name wrong!!! So much for those "little details" about caring for the flock. lol
No, not for several years, neither da'd or df'd, inactive for 17 years though. They know where we live. We haven't seen many jws going door to door in this area and we have asked our neighbors, they haven't been called on either.
Not that we mind; we're glad they don't come or to the neighbors.
I never knew any jws who wanted to talk to anyone at the door during this time; they loved just putting them in the door (not the mailbox, illegal and a federal offense). They don't care if anyone comes, they have their paradise guaranteed if they are seen by jws doing it.
I remember when I was PIMI, an old JW guy knocked on the door.When I told him I was one of them, he did not stop there, he continued to do his presentation full throttle and offered a couple of the magazines. Bless him I did not have the heart then to repeat that i am a "sister in the truth".I told him the congregation, elders names etc. No Go so i just took the mags and send him off his way.He was compus-mentus. Dunno why he did that though.

A cummon now scriffmcbuff, you remember how it was. Feather-knocking and posting them through to get rid of the stack of invites you were allocated. And there was always some old biddy or asshole MS going back making a show of getting yet more invites from the desk because they'd used theirs up already.
What a massive waste of time that was.
I've never received an invitation since I've left. But then I'm regarded as a mentally diseased apostate who's a womanizer and a godless man... which to be fair to them is true apart from the mentally diseased bit.
On a related note, when the old magazines stacked up at the KH and the territories were not being worked on a regular basis, the service overseer would have the publishers stuff old magazines in the doors of every house in the territories. Problems solved.
I will find one in my door every other year, and this is the year I won't be getting one. None of the JWs in my area know who I am or who I was, and I prefer to keep it that way.
