I noticed awhile ago JW.org was first; now JWN is back being first. What determines that?
JWN staying at the top of Google Search

I imagine it costs the org. to get their Culty Site to the top for a while ! The LDS Church do it as well from time to time, bloody annoying ! But wasted money I bet !

Nicolaou You kill me 😂😂👍
(It's clearly because Robert Hendrix has dropped the ball this week. Hasn't he run off with some journalist? If he hasn't he should)

It's still number 3 on my tablet's google search. JW.ORGy is still number one.
I just realised as I was writing this, that my saved search is "Jehovah's Witnesses online"*, so that may have something to do with it. I tried that on Bing on my PC and got page after page of official WT pages. I had to use "Jehovah's Witnesses discussion". At least this is number one when searching that way.
* Why keep doing it this way? I guess I got used to it 🥴

I think the search results are influenced by your activity and browsing history, as well. It's difficult to say, since Bing has such an awful search function (made significantly worse by AI) and Google buries the actual results under almost a full page of paid adverts.

Not Former, I get even when I am searching for jw or ex-jw stuff first on the Google search.

😳I get "Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints"🤡 - then I noticed it's sponsored.
So the first is JW dot org
Second is Wikipedia
Third is Encyclopedia Britannica
Fourth is a piece by the BBC ....no JWdotnet on the first page ☹️Looks like WE'VE dropped the ball!😴

I usually do a Google NEWS search for "Jehovah" every week. It bugs me that JW org Press releases rank as high or higher than bonafide newspaper stories. Watchtower must have quite the SEO budget to rank "ads" higher than real news 5 days a week. argh!!##!!
