    Hi All,

I was driving by the new park yesterday and decided to stop and see what it was like. There was a track for walking, running etc. I decided to go a few rounds. A young girl of 20 started walking about the same time, when we got even with each other I said a greeting and mentioned what a beautiful day it was. We talked for about an hour as we walked. She was a lovely person and I felt like her dad before I left. She didn't like school and when she graduated she found a good job and went to work for a printing company. She was recently laid off with a bunch of others and can't find a decent job. She mentioned going to school to be a nurse and I told her about my daughter becoming a sonogram operator at the local hospital. We talked about our families etc. I told her whatever she did to enjoy each day of life as she would never regret it when she got old like me. I very seldom connect with someone like I did with her. I felt love for her like I do my daughter. It was a very good experience. I think there are a lot of good people out there if we take the time to get acquainted.

What a beautiful experience. There really are some nice people on this planet. It is great now to have the freedom to connect with them without having an ulterior motive of converting them.

This is so true. Thanks for sharing. I have made some lovely friends this way, taking the same bus to work every day, start chatting.

On Tuesday, I met an old woman at the bus stop, she asked for my help about when the bus would arrive. She is a widow, from Lebanon, we chatted for about 45 minutes and ended up exchanging telephone numbers. A new friend!

It's so nice to have the whole world as an option for friends, instead of just a chosen few at the KH.

That's the difference now. Rather than looking at someone as a possible "service call", you look at them as real people
