44 Stories of Child Sexual Abuse within Jehovah's Witnesses in Australia

Say Sorry has published a collection of official Jehovah's Witness child abuse stories from the Australian “Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse: Final Report.”

These 44 stories are not ‘apostate-driven lies and dishonesties.’ They are genuine heart-wrenching accounts from just some of the people who spoke with a Commissioner during a private session of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse looking into Jehovah’s Witnesses and Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Australia Limited.

These 44 stories have been published in the lead up to the Australian Government's National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse to be held on 22 October 2018.

Content warning: This content is about child sexual abuse. It contains graphic descriptions and strong language, and may be confronting and disturbing. If you need help, please seek support.

These stories are too much to bear. They add up to a weight of reprehensibilty that is appalling.

Shame on WT, shame on those who covered up this disease and let it spread. They should be made to face up to their crimes and shortcomings.

To all those who spoke out and bared these deep scars for all to see I wish you nothing but well. Thank you

Here's a burning question for the Watchtower Society...

...how the hairy blue fuck can you call this stuff "apostate-driven lies" when the information is corroborated by your own goddamn internal records?

I braced up gritted my teeth and began to read the accounts. Why am I do this I asked myself. Then i realized I was wondering if i would see any other cases involving the abuser of my kids. Thus far I have not.

But i have come away with even greater respect for the Commission and gratitude for the former Prime Minister (Gillard) who set the thing into action.

The courage of those who have given their story is a shining light as ever there was.

I hope oh how I hope that the wt will be made dragged kicking and screaming to pay HUGE compensation to those affected.

I rue the day i ever set foot into a kh.

Such horrible stories, those poor children.

There was this comment made and although it is not something I have read in publications, I have no doubt that this would be a conclusion Elders would make. They teach nothing of any real assistance that might help protect a potential rape victim.

But as the attacks increased, Calinda found that she couldn’t just sit still and pray for Max’s conversion. Instead, she hit back, punching him in the face and sometimes elbowing him in the groin. For that, she was nearly excommunicated.
‘There’s an obscure scripture that makes it abundantly clear that a man’s genitals are sacrosanct and you cannot in any way disrespect them.’

    I gotta say,...

...it's getting harder and harder to not suspect that the WTS simply doesn't view sexual assault - of any kind - as all that big of a deal.

Unsurprising, I suppose, considering what we've heard about Rutherford and Jaracz.
