My mother helps out one of the elderly sisters in the Kingdom Hall, and has for the past 10 years or so, basically to show "christian love". Well, yesterday this elderly lady showed my mother proof that she sent the Society $100. This really ticked me off. My mother has helped this lady out A LOT, and hasn't asked for a dime. Now, who's really helping this elderly sister out, my mother or the Society? I don't mean to sound greedy, but I think it would be nice if my mother recieved SOMETHING for all the things she's done for this sister. Hell, I'd have no problem giving someone a little "thank you" for years of help.

I know what you mean. My mam does a lot to hlep the elderly ones in the hall, she's that kind of caring person. She never gets any credit for it, but she is the first person called on if someone needs help evenb though she is already run off her feet, gets hassel from the people she's helping and now has serious health problems of her own.

if your mom does this because she is a caring person showing christian love, then she probably wouldn'taccept money if it was offered anyway. But the gesture would certainly go a long way in showing she was appreciated.

Maybe your mom should tell the Sister? she's been helping to get the WTS to do something for her that your mom normally does. She'll learn in a big hurry that the only thing the WTS loves helping people with is emptying their wallets and bank accounts.

The only problem is I doubt that a 90 year old woman is going to change her mind about the WTS. Sadly, she's wasted her life and money on this Organization. She's one of the 1914 generation, and one of the millions now living who will never die.
