    Hi Simon,

I was just wondering if you have ever considered making an app for this forum. I would be on here all the time if I could use it on my iPhone! It's kind of a pain using it on my iPhone safari browser, so I only visit this site using my laptop. (On second thought, maybe it's good you haven't yet!) :)

Yes there is an app for it. It's called a browser. You just open your browser on your phone and you type the address. You can also bookmark the address for easy access in the future.

    Island Man,

That is how I have the site open all day on my phone. Really you got a dislike (lol). Unbelievable.

you can add a clickable icon to your home screen to save a few keystrokes and the site doesn't have to stay open on your browser. Just type in the site address in your browser and when the page comes up, swipe down until the arrows, bookmark etc shows up at the bottom of the page. Click on the center square with the arrow in it. Choose add to home screen.

It doesn't keep me logged in, and it is so annoying having to log in every time! Plus ... I think it would be cool if we had an app. And when you did a search in the App Store for Jehovah's Witnesses, it should be the first one to pop up! Now that the JWs have got so techy, they need some competition in that App Store! :)

I'm logged in all the time. Did you save it to your home screen while you were logged in?

You'll be pleased to know that there is a better mobile experience in the works.

It's not going to be an App Store type app that you need to download and install but will be a "Progressive Web App" which means it will look and work just like a traditional app, have a home-screen icon, launch quickly and possibly even work offline (or at least let you re-view things you already have even if you don't have cell data coverage).

The loading and rendering is vastly more efficient so runs very fast even on a cell phone (and the benefits also apply, probably less noticeably to desktops and laptops). Part of it is due to loading much less for each page view - actually it doesn't load the pages at all, it loads a template and then just the data for each topic etc...

The UI is going to be based on Google's Material Design which is what all the new Google Inbox, Maps, Play, YouTube and other sites use.

I don't have a release date set yet but I'm working on it whenever I can and "real-work" doesn't notice (shhh) so hopefully soon. It will almost certainly be an opt-in preview initially for people to try out.

Just as an aside, the site has been generating an error message on my Android for the past 2 weeks.
