At the end of July, one of the three International Assembly was hold in Seville, South of Spain (the others were in Madrid and Barcelona) The organisators did not realise that in July and in August the whether in Seville is extremely hot. What it worse, we have had the hotest days for the last 20 years during the assembly. The temperature reach more than 50ยบ. I do not know the english equivalence but I promise you taht it is very, very hot. The point is that 2 witnesses died in Seville and one in Barcelona. The ambulances were seen as part of the assembly becasue people could not stant the heating. So, they have 3 martirs who died when they were listening the word og God.

What a stupid way to die. The fanatism of this cult is incredible.

3 people dead! Shouldn't the assemblies come with some sort of warning from the medical community? How horrible for the families. Heat stroke is not a fun way to die. But I bet there are dubs who say "oh what a great place to die." WTS and the dubs make me sick.

From what I remember about the Conventions, every year at least one person had to be rushed to the hospital for some reason, whether it be death, heart attack, injury, etc. I always saw someone being rolled out of the convention on a stretcher.

As for 50 degrees celcius, it would be somewhere around 130 degrees farenheit.

    50 celsius is 122 fahrenheit.

I guess this is why they don't believe in hellfire. They do all of their suffering right here.

I thought the sessions were bad enough, never mind about the heat.

    Ho Mosiah,

Welcome to the forum.... is this a first-hand report? Has any of this made it into the Spanish media, i.e. radio, newspapers, etc.?

welcome to the e x jw board. Well talk about a bunch of fanatiques. I just cannot believe this. (the GB I mean). Its not like Jesus is there to cure them. It proves to me the Governing Body is not on top of the worlds temperatures. For three good christians to die in that heat is unbelievable. Loving God and Christ is great but don't they JW think that God doesn't expect them to set in 50degrees in F. or 122 C. it is insane unthinkable. God is a God of reason. He understands. The GB won''t change, they have invested a lot of time and money into the conventions. So they are only thinking of filling their own coffers. No ones health means anything to them.

They would say well if you felt sick you shouldn't have come and all that is really your own problem, you know all that kind of stuff. etc...

For those who are preparing this conventions in the usa and canada, Randy Waters I congratulate you and you fellow christians and I pray you never act in a way the governing Body acts A persons well being if very inportant to them and to God. With out that they are unable to serve God...

So once again new one Mosiah, thanks for sharing and welcome..
