“But now I am writing you to stop keeping company with anyone called a brother who is sexually immoral or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man” ... (bold & italics mine)

My question is; if a brother or sister is disfellowshipped for whatever reason and therefore technically they are no longer a JW (brother or sister), then how can they use the above scripture as a basis to shun you.

    Exactly!

Once expelled by the congregation for legit reasons, then Jesus tells His followers to treat those wayward like taxpayers and men of the nations. How did Jesus treat taxpayers and sinners? That's right He sought them and ate with them and went on to die for their sins.

Your query is very good ammunition for those who are shunned but who are no longer witnesses Brocky!

And a very good reason to crank up the paranoia within the congo about those considered to be dodgy JWs.
