    Though they may not like what you say, politicians care what you think. Some care only about categories: how many are for this and how many against it? Some care about the details: why are you for or opposed and what do you think are the important issues? Some make it easy for you to contact them: they or their staff will respond to telephone calls, letters and post cards, emails. Some respond to mail but seem to ignore email entirely . Some refuse to provide an email address on their web site.

    The best ways to get the attention of any local official is usually by picking up the phone or sending a letter or postcard. There's something about a piece of paper or a voice that takes up some staff time that gets more attention, especially now that so many government offices are flooded by mass-produced email barrages. That is no reason not to use email?politicians always count communications on issues from citizens, whatever their method of transmission.     Yet another good idea from you - I just stay amazed.

    I'm continuing with my letters & will add your ideas too.

    Ms. Moderator.............is there a way that all these threads with addresses, donation info, can be put into ONE AREA for an extended time? Reason being, it gets lost amongst the threads within a week (unless a good flame is happening).....and we need reminders....and others miss the threads - or what caused the situation.

    Whatcha think? Even though this situation is getting organized - it's hard for the reader (use discernment) to find after the initial reading.

    Particularily if we could get ALL the addresses on ONE thread with no comments (like I'm doing now). Keep them up there.

    Hey 7 & others,

    I DO think all these addresses found here and on other threads need to be IN THE SAME PLACE. We can use them this time ...............but what about two weeks from now? These addresses will be lost in the shuffle.

    Can there be a forum of ADDRESSES? In this same forum - SAMPLE LETTERS?

    Surely, this wouldn't be a difficult thing? I haven't asked Simon......should we campaign him with pm's and emails?

    Should we just throw his brit ass in the pool/ocean when we get to Florida?

    I moved this thread to the child abuse forum to make it more easily accessible to those like yourself to reference in the future. I submitted your suggestion yesterday and trust Simon with input from the campaign organizers to possibly have several main threads with links to the others.
