Balloons drift by in the darkening skies;
A splash of color for my watering eyes.
You look at me as if you know
But you have never seen inside my soul.
Why is it that you rant and scream?
Don't you realize it's only a dream?
Your illusion of power
Lasts less than an hour
In the infinite, universal scheme.
I look to the sky once more to see
Why did god need to punish me
With questions about time and season
There just seems to be no legitiamate reason
I pray to find all the answers I seek
And hope that Robdar's outlook is not as bleak

I am glad you liked it. I wrote it a couple of years ago when I was stuck in a 9 to 5 job. I had strange bosses who used to like to try to out brag each other about who worked the most over time. They often complained about their parking spaces not being appropriately located to signify their rank and power. I kid you not.
