Millions in Christendom Around The World Identify as Christians & Never Go To Church.

I would hazard a guess that their are thousands who profess to be Jehovah`s Witnesses around the world who only attend the Memorial ,Marriages or Funerals. Never to be seen at other times of the year.And certainly give no support monetary or otherwise.

Which explains the difference in Active JW`s around 8 million as against the memorial attendance of about 20 million .

With even a third of these 8 million withdrawing their support say in the next 5 years how many of those extra 12 million hangers on would drop away.?

I know this is all speculation ,but isn`t the trend already here that the writing is on the wall for the eventual demise of the JW religion as we know it today ?

Jesus never went to a church, the synagogue because he was Jewish, not a Christian. There were no religious buildings for Christians in the first century. No mention of groups getting too big and splitting into 2 groups. No mention of needing a building to worship god.

So I am not surprised many do not go to church, per se. What about the ministries on TV, are they church replacements? Don't have to get dressed, can record it and attend at your own schedule, no problem having to pretend to like some of the people at church, and probably many more, like turning down the sound and do other things around the house or in the garage.

Many are tuned into their fave ministers on radio -- there are probably more xtians tuning in to TV/radio than making their presence known in buildings. They don't have to deal with all the whackadoos and sociopaths inside.

Well, yes, the JWs will decline as time goes on, but the disparity between Memorial attendance and active JWs has always been large. Even in the growth hayday, 50's thru early 80's, there were always at least 2X Memorials attenders vs. active JWs.

Census shows more than wt numbers. There are lots of nominal Christians who have a background from family ties. As for TV guys, they rank from local well meaning preachers to full blown moneygrubbers. In society there are good people who minister (broad sense) to others in need, even some or them are other or no affiliation
