Is autologous transfusion (transfusion of one's own blood) now allowed for JW's? Someone told me this was his understanding, but I think he's been given some incorrect information. Can someone help me with this one? Thanks in advance. Artiicle references would be great.

As with everything in JW-land, the answer is somewhat murky.
The outright predonation and storage of one's own "major" blood components is expressly forbidden among JW's.
However both hemodilution and the use of cell-salvage apparatus during surgery (which are technically forms of autolgous transfusion) are allowed.
