I just bought some Bee Pollen capsules. they are 550 mg each and I am to take two twice a day.

I already take a multi-vitamin that has 25mg of bee pollen powder in it. I take two a day.

So that is a total of hmmmmmmmm..... 1,150 mg of bee pollen. Wow I am so smart.

Is this too much bee pollen? Can it harm me? I am not allergic to them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Sandy,

I am no vitamin expert, but I take a few natural supplements and receive brochures about them. According to articles that I have read, most people can safely take 1500 to 2000 mg. of bee pollen daily.

Too much bee pollen could weaken your stinger.

    Sens,

I haven't started taking bee pollen but I want to. Bee pollen is a nutritional powerhouse. It has B vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids, protein, and other things I can't remember.

Bee pollen is also an anti-oxidant, anti-viral (good for flu season) and strengthens the immune system.

Not true. It helps asthma and allergies. If you take whole Bee Pollen, you start very slow, especially if it is very pure (I've known people who take a razor blade and slice a grain of the pure Bee Pollen). Capsules should be okay though.

Being allergic to bees is not a factor for taking bee pollen, but it's a common fallacy.

Bee Pollen has been called "Nature's Perfect Food". There are experts who believe it's all you need to supplement with.

Do they seem to get overly talkative and energetic and perhaps sweat a little after cutting up this'bee pollen'. lol
