I have a friend who is going to Boston in a few weeks and will be staying at the Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast

    http://www.lizzie-borden.com/

I am intrigued by the idea myself and wondered how others would feel about sleeping somewhere a violent murder had been committed. Has anyone else ever stayed somewhere portrayed as "haunted" or otherwise creepy?

When I was in England we stayed with some people who live in a house attached to a church that is over 100 years old and has a graveyard in front of it. The night we spent there I had a dream....I rarely have dreams and when I do it is even more rare that I remember them...in this dream I saw a man laid out on a stone slab...he was dressed in very old style clothing...and I got the feeling he was sad and dying and just wanted someone there with him....so I stood next to him and just held his hand so he wouldn't be alone....it wasn't scary or anything just really really sad because he seemed so lonely. While it was most likely just my imagination stimulated by the age of the place and the proximity of the cemetary it was still an unusual experience for me.

Xena...well, it isn't much different than say living on a battle ground....Eh...you should give sleeping in a mausoleum a whirl...eheh...I did so out of necessity and not wanting to, but it is still a bit freaky..I think people often forget all the bodies and bloodshed that go along with all kinds of historical sites, areas, homes, etc...I wouldn't mind going there to visit...

    Sincerely,

lol actually sens my friend is scared silly but still going....guess that does make him game though, huh?

Well I haven't slept in a mausoleum yet...I will put it on my "to do" list though. I did sleep in a KH once. We were working on a quick build and they were finished with the Hall but hadn't installed the alarm yet. They asked for volunteers to spend the night in the Hall for security reasons, tyydyy and I volunteered....it was kinda creepy thinking Jehovah had a close eye on us....lol tyydyy wouldn't even let us zip our sleeping bags together...rofl sissy boy

That seems too weird, sleeping where Lizzie Borden killed her parents. I would do it I guess but it's weird.

I also have slept in a KH but I didn't prepare by bringing a sleeping bag.

I used to skip rope to that chant when I was a kid...

Lizzie Borden took and ax, and gave her mother forty whacks.

When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one.

Just like you to be holding his hand in your dream. What was the NEXT body part you held?

    Xena,

LOL Who's really the sissy? You're the one who enforced the "no lips below the hips" rule. Wuuuuusssss. Besides........I just couldn't really get in the mood. I mean.....With Jehovah's spirit being there and all. I could just see my dead anointed grandmother in heaven watching. I could imagine throughout the day as we worked so hard on the quickbuild and it was on our first anniversary that she would be bragging to all the other do-gooders in heaven how perfect her grandson was. So I just figured that a few of the might have stuck around that night as if we were on cable channel 69 in heaven. Creeped me out. Things have changed. I don't mind being on channel 69 in heaven. At least that way I'd be a star and, you never know, that might come in handy come judgement day.

    Tim
