My old avtar is somehow starting to crop up when I post ?

Hi Simon I have just noticed my old avtar is starting to appear when I now post sometimes ?

My newer one Marvin the Martian is the one I`m supposed to be using now

Can you help ?

I had the same issue but it was resolved.

As I understand it, the avatars are periodically rotated.

We do the same thing in our company. As part of year end maintenance in our IT department, we rotate the domain names so that they wear evenly. It's just a preventative measure and good practice.
