While I sit here watching my extra-PIMI wife on zoom. I see her go into the JW trance, duel personality at it's finest. It is so creepy to watch this religious personality come out. But, I could only watch and hope someday she will wake up. I know this will not happen.

But, I am so so happy that our son's and I have nothing to do with this CULT. older son is in senior year of college and will get his master when it is all said and done. younger son is shooting to go to college and eventually get his masters as well if not doctrates.

Screw this cult.....it has damage my marriage so much.

Happy Easter if thats what some believe. Cheers!!!!

When you are at a zoomed meeting, you have to be extra attentive because everyone can see you face on. No slouching at the back of the hall behind a tall bro...

( edit . Goingthrough..... I feel for you buddy , same here )

I cannot imagine sitting through two hours of that horrible gibberish. Especially if it includes live stream if Gibbering Buddy member Steven "Rubber Face Clown" Lett.

So, are you telling me that everyone on Zoom has a camera pointed at them and everyone else can see each other? When I was a kid, my parents said look at the stage not the audience. I was a ADD child before that was a thing.

Hell, I'd rather pick my nose and eat a booger on Zoom for the Jdubs just to gross everyone out. It would be worth it.

F#@k the cult. Glad I am out.

SitT: I think you can turn the camera off, here all cameras are taped over . no pedos, closet or active or admirers of exotic ladies in our house. as are many schools companies.

Why is she doing the zoom thing in front of you? your home should be a neutral zone, no jw stuff out for the other to see and no so called apostate stuff out either. Works in my house.

I know what you mean by the creepy cult stare/look. When my jw first joined the cult his eyes actually glazed over and his face changed dramatically when speaking about jw things. Scared the crap out of me! His gestures even changed, how he sat and so forth. I am not kidding or exaggerating, the kids noticed too. Now he seems to be able to switch between the two worlds easier and because we no longer speak about anything jw related I don't have to see the creepy jw look/smile/smirk. I guess we may have a yearly or every 2 years or so where we have a doozy that turns into a jw fight but all in all it is much better now that we don't discuss it.

we even have a cover that can be instantly raised when an objectionable face intrudes into the personal space, mute to deaden "unscriptural" commenting. Keeping a clean hose.

My house is my castle, drawbridges raised. lines drawn.

we came up with a neutral zone for my wife to Zoom the meetings. that way I don't have to see or hear that BS

I guess my question is, unless you have a "part" on the meeting, why have a camera as an audience member?

Congregational meeting is one and only social interaction for the most of JW, so it is natural they want to see and to be seen. Trying to look good on screen means shower, shaving / make up, dressing up, all good habits which could be easy neglect during quarantine. I can understand that Zoom thing as a sort of comfort for the most of JW.

I'm inactive for almost twenty years, but i dressed up and put a tie for this memorial and attend with my pimi wife and her mother (our camera was off, like always), it meant a lot to them in these circumstances, no matter they know that i'll never be back again. I look on JW as doctor look on patients, if you cannot cure them, then just try to easy the pain.
