People here post a lot of personl stories about things that happen to them with their witness family members. But what about the timing of these activities....

I know a lot of people here have to be very careful of what they post. They either have family they're trying to convince to leave or they're posting here just to keep sane while the JW lifestyle swirls around them.

In keeping with trying to keep identities anonymous, do you find yourselves sometimes waiting till wayyy after an event has happened to post here about it to throw potential snoopers off track? And, If so, how do you keep up with the details of such an event.

    Yes

Discretion is the Better Part of Valour as the saying is - for reasons to do with JW "hostages" emotional stress, cowardice, good judgement or whatever I sometimes hesitate in replying / giving details which would lead the WT to my door - I do keep a journal (writing everything down is part of my profession so it comes naturally - after all those years of notetaking I cannot stop!) and note important happenings/thoughts down and use the points when it is appropriate.

Yes. It's wise not to include dates, times, names, and places, etc. Waiting till weeks or even months pass is not a bad idea. I hardly relate personal experiences because of those concerns just mentioned. If I do, I try doing so in bits and pieces, relating whatever parts of the experience relate to the topic being discussed. Lousy chronologically, but better safe than sorry.
