To memorialize the act of breast-feeding in a snapshot is as common in Peru as wanting to save a photo of a first step, or a first two-wheeler, or a first baseball game, he says.
There was a case a couple of years ago about a family of Arabic descent in the Washington DC area where the father was placed under arrest because there was a framed photograph of him kissing his infant son's penis in their living room. According to the father (and subsequent news reports which verified this), it is considered a blessing in parts of the Arab world for the father to kiss the infant son's penis, and they wanted to memorialize this blessing in a photograph.
This poor couple from Peru is yet another example of how intolerant and suspicious government officials can be of non-American rituals in what is supposed to be a "melting pot" society.
If any of those 17th century masterpieces depicting nursing Madonnas, etc. are in Texas, I hope they will move them to a safer location before the "morality police" confiscates them all and holds a backyard bonfire.

My thoughts exactly. Fools. That poor mother. This is going to really damage the family, no matter what happens. It's a shame that those "lawful" pricks think that a breastfeeding mother is porn. WHAT?
Then again, this is from the same state that outlaws anal sex.

Actually there was one story I remember seeing on dateline or one of those shows where a grandmother was actually jailed for a year or two because she had taken a pic of her grandkids in the bath tub and there little butts were showing. It really was quite sickening. There was also a dad--similar story, who got his custody taken away by the mother because his daughter who was five mooned him when he snapped her pic.
