  Jehovah's Witnesses like to ask, "Where else will you go?", when you talk about leaving the organization. After I did leave I saw the movie Pleasantville and I saw the answer.

  Every time I see that movie I can't help but think of my time in the organization. Everything was black and white... everyone had their place and everyone did the same thing over and over. There was no passion, there was no life. It wasn't until after I left that I started to see the colors of life. It wasn't until I left the organization that I truly felt passion.

  If you have never seen this movie, you should go rent it.

  Although a bit heavy-handed in spots, it is a good movie, and a good allegory for emerging from the WTS. I'd recommend it.

  Nice observation! I haven't seen the movie since we left dubdom, but even then I thought it was a good movie. Maybe it's just that I like Reese Witherspoon and I get excited when she says "you can pin me anytime"...
