The Cultist Formerly Known as Prince has an AP story at
    *h ttp://dailynews.yahoo.com/htx/ap/20010526/en/prince_lyrics_gotham_1.html
that talks about an interview in Gotham magazine. A fun quote:

"'When I look at the violence, I wonder where the parents are, but also where is God in their lives? A kid is an open computer ready for programming. Some weird relationships happen, smoking too early and sex.'"

I suppose Bro. Prince Rogers Nelson meant to say "sex too early and smoking," but still, I'd like to be a fly on the wall in the back room once his elders here about it. "By 'too early' you mean before marrying in the Lord, right Brother Nelson?"

Apparently it ain't just kids who are "an open computer ready for programming"!

I searched unsuccessfully for the May issue of Gotham, a is a new magazine about New York that debutted in March. interview that this article highlights. Can anyone find this? I'm sure there are even better parts.

I like Logical's theory that the WBTS paid Prince to join. Perhaps part of the deal is that they will have new light on smoking soon...

Maybe Prince will turn the WTS on to some new fads and colors for the stank and file dubs.

Found the May GOTHAM! Prince, photographed in New York (possibly on a visit to Bethel?), sports a thin beard. He talks politics, comes off as an existentialist flake, quotes Jesse Jackson, and digs at his old nemesis Michael Jackson. So much for the Watchtower disapproving personal expression!

But what made the magazine worth the US$4.95 cover is this quote from the artist:

"I love interviews now because they are informal witnessing."

Oh my, the hours Brother Silentlambs could count!
