Is the Society really ok with this or is there like a rebel band of witnesses who set these up and run it against the societys wishes?
I wonder what the word in the KH is about sites like this. I know when I was a JW I would never have believed I'd see something like this...not legitimately run by JW's anyway.
Might I suggest that some here take a look at this site?
I think it is for real, but it doesn't mean that the society approves of it. It probably is run by a real JW though. I was on a different jw single site in the past when a JW and when the elders learned of my being on it, I got the 'not a good idea' talk.
Sns, I guess you are right. I emailed them expressing genuine jw-like concerns (haha) and apparently they dont care whether the society approves or not. This is what I recieved in reply

Geez, witnesses have it a lot easier these days than when I was a young horny teen. I wonder when they will start the JW 'escort' service.
I am sure this fits into their definition of "beware the voice of strangers'. In due time likley there will be an article in the Awake or a KM about this. Maybe even a letter to the elders.
Hahaha, I did not look at the site long, but I wonder if it has a meter on it to determine a brother/sister's spirituality. After all, isn't that the only qualification a single JW needs to get married?

I've been called the Picasso of mic-handling because I consider it an art form. So, if you can cook, clean, and Pioneer (and if you have proper head coverings when I pray with you), then YOU are the one for ME!
I would say that it is not a legit site.... would a real JW even have any mention of drinking or smoking prefs?
