Personally, I don't care whether whether the Society reports an increase, decrease or no change. What does any of it prove; that P.T. Barnum was right about a sucker being born every minute?
Speaking of births, it would seem that these figures would have to be measured against the net change in overall world population for the analagous period to have any realy value as a trend indicator.
Yes, Room 215, you would have to factor in several things:
Births
Deaths
DF/DA/Inactive
Manipulation of the data by the WTS and the rank and file
Blondie
This is only an average
Example
Congregation 1-- 0
Congregation 2--0
Congregation 3--0
Congregation 4--0
Congregation 5--10
Average 2 per congregation
But it doesn't show the real picture is that 4 out of 5 congregations had no increase

It just proves the old saying: "Lies, damned lies and statistics!"
I would more likely say:
Cong. 1: 2 DF'd.
Cong. 2: 0 DF'd, 1 baptism.
Cong. 3: 1 DF'd, 0 baptism.
Cong. 4: 0 DF'd, 1 baptism
Cong 5: 2 Df'd, 1 baptism.
Do the math and figure out how much of an increase that really is...
Good one, Shamus. You aren't napping.

Figures never lie, but liars are always figuring.
I made an examination of the german figures and found that always in August there is the peak of publishers. When i mailed this on a forum i have been told this is common practice.
and I'm a fake publisher!!!!!!!!!!!
