    The only State or Territory yet to sign up is Western Australia .

    And so far the Jehovah`s Witness religion has not joined the scheme. { and I will be very surprised if they ever do }

    However if they don`t they will have to fight any case that is brought against them in a court of law and that in itself will be bad publicity for them .

    So I am hoping they don`t join the redress Scheme .

    Just recently the Federal minister said some have yet to sign up but if they don't,

    "They will be the ones to publicly defend their stand." quote.

    Imagine all the posturing and semantics the wt will indulge in.. perhaps then the media will run with it here and the result could be some outrage against the wt with the r&f taking the abuse not the gb safe in their palace. Such abuse or public notoriety will hit many jw who will be asking of their elders "what the hell has happened why weren't we told about the ARC?" "It was not apostate lies..!" etc and many more will depart.

    There will be those who will see this as their longed for persecution and drive themselves their kids and anyone around them to despair with ever more bizarre wt messages. and of course following a well set path now it will be send in the money. I fear they will orchestrate some form of public disorder to create a backlash to get the sort of crisis/opposition/ persecution the wt have always longed for to justify themselves and take the heat off their secret files, money scandals, dodgy investments and whatever their wizards can conjure up.

    We can only hope so zeb.

    My mother who has read some of the transcripts from the ARC is still voicing the "much has been falsified and exaggerated" and "Jehovah is in control and he will fix it" mantra. Nothing will make any impact on her.

    "...Jehovah is in control and he will fix it..."

    To which I'd be sorely tempted to reply...

    "Doesn't God's Word teach us that even His 'chosen people' were (and are) expected to live with the consequences of their actions?"

    (...any answer with even a scrap of honesty behind it would have to be "yes"...)

    "Well then, how do you know these court losses aren't that very thing?"

    It's been nearly 3 years since the Australian Royal Commission's investigation of the Jehovah's Witnesses' mishandling of child abuse. Many JWs have yet to hear/know about the ARC's findings implicating the WT and JWs.

    The beauty of WT's refusing to join in the 'Redress For Victms' is that this refusal will force the ARC report to resurface and make the headlines a second time around. As the saying goes...'The 2nd times a charm'...Yay!
