I couldn't help but notice that for many their idea of God is the common Judeo-Christian conception of God, and if I'm not mistaken some even think looking at different churches constitutes looking at different religions. However, I have also noticed that some have apparently spent some time and effort investigating other religions and spiritual practices. What I want to know is, what do you think defines a religion, and how do you define the word God? Of course, we no doubt all know about the many common forms of Christianity as well as the variations of Christian theology, so unless you have something unique in that regard I think we can skip that. But for example, what really is the Hindu concept of God? Are the various new age schools of thought religions, and can there be a religion without the concept of God? If nothing else I would think this could be potentially educational. I would have posted this under the Beliefs forum, but nobody seems to know that it exists.
