What does anyone think about the "famous people" who allegedly predicted the future? Edgar Cayce, Nostrodamus, etc...

Are they just as much whack jobs as the WTB& TS?

I continue to be amazed at the number of 'prophets' who claim that they knew the crash of 2008 was imminent BEFORE it occurred. After claiming that they dodged the bullet, they claim that following their financial advice will help one to dodge future market declines and result in financial gains, greater than anyone could imagine.

In fact, there were only a handful of people who actually foresaw the 2008 collapse. They proved that they knew by shorting the dirivatives that were being hawked to investors.

The same is true of WTC. They claimed that they were waiting for something momentous to happen in 1914. Their rapture to heaven did not occur so they revised the prophecy (after the fact) to be the arrival of Christ as an invisible King. They didn't care that the scriptures said "and every eye will see him" or that "no man knows the day or the hour".

They claimed that Christ cast Satan out of heaven and Satan incited the nations to world war. Later when it was pointed out to them that WW1 started in July but their teaching stated that the Kingdom was established in October (3 months later), they revised the teaching to state that war in heaven occurred circa the Fall of 1914, and could have been months before Christ was enthroned. Problem solved with spinning.

Later they claimed 1975 would probably be the year of Armageddon. It didn't come.

Later they claimed that the generation that saw the events of 1914 would live to see Armageddon. The youngest would now be 109 years old.

When that generation was 82 years old, they changed the teaching to state that the generation was an overlapping generation. Nowhere in the Bible is such a ludicrous thought ever entertained. I have not heard a SINGLE JW tout the veracity of that outrageous teaching. Not even one.

No one knows the future - especially WTC. If they claim something is going to happen, believe just the opposite. They are clueless and prove that they are clueless every time they speak. They are desperate to control their members who are fading faster than Joe Biden at an economic conference.

Foggy - What does anyone think about the "famous people" who allegedly predicted the future?

They're complete and utter mental cases. They need putting in a padded cell. Put in a straight jacket and medicated.

I'm sure just do it for money and/or attention seeking.

'I pity the fool' that believes their nonsense.
