Worth a watch imho. Very enlightening and entertaining at the same time. It got me thinking:

We were always taught as witness how Christianity stole its stuff from paganism (Trinity, Xmas etc etc) but we were also taught that Satan always stole his stuff from Jehovah, that he made counterfeit versions of jehovah's stuff. Well it's clear that it is actually the other way around. As Seth well demonstrates with example after example, Christianity is adept at making a "Christian version" of just about everything Satan's system has come up with.

He makes the very good point that Christianity has only stayed relevant throughout its history be appropriating the culture of the secular societies in which it abides. And that is exactly what we see the the Society now doing too! The broadcasts are full of cultural appropriation, Christian versions of what young people enjoy - cartoons, music videos etc etc. It is the only way they can stay relevant and hope to stem the tide of a mass exodus of young ones.

Oh, Dungeons and Dragons and Stevie Nicks from Fleetwood Mac being a witch gets mentioned - that brings back memories... plus a lot of other 80's stuff that i remember so well.

    Thanks for posting!

Yes, trying to maintain relevance is an ongoing problem for all 'brands', be it commercial or religious.

Thats why we see retail products being sold as "new and improved formula" all the time..

Why would it be any different for religious entities. People need to be kept hooked....

Every religion and sects within them are fighting to safeguard their own identity--something that is opposite of spirituality, hence are qualified to hear the condemnation mentioned in Mathew 7:21-23

...qualified to hear the condemnation mentioned in Mathew 7:21-23

"qualified to hear"? What the heck does that mean?

Anyway, thanks, doubtfull1799. I happened to have read his book. Good work, and fun to watch,

    scratchme1010,

By pretending to be helpers, sects are actually engaging in massaging their egos, thus become qualified to hear the condemnation mentioned in Mathew 7:21-23
