I think Obama care would of made it easier for the jws at bethel , since the health care plan is based on income. Also there nothing in the law that forces any corporations or cults to provide medical insurance to thier help.

Obamacare = discounted insurance for low income people, it's not free. And it is not cheap enough for Bethel to use it.
US Bethel is still self insured medically. The Canadian government on the other hand, may be paying for Bethel health care.

I do know that there are some bethelietes that qualify for Medicare because they worked before entering bethel. Some of the older ones will use it because their care may need some specialized care that cannot be given by a GP.
