Can't say too much but I here is something I'd like to share.

A relative of mine was an elder and pledged a lot of money to help buy a new Kingdom Hell in the area. He died 10 years ago. Only 3 years ago the Elders went to his old aged, pensioner widow and asked for the money. Out of fear the widow gave the money, half thinking it was the right thing to do.

The brother had been dead 7 years and they STILL went to collect because he had signed his name all those years age. Are they that sadistic?

    Yes!

There is something, grasping, unconscionable, corrupt, hypocritical, contemptuous, immoral and sick in the heartless Watchtower cult.

Excuse me JW organisation, did you not read somewhere that the idea for the Christian congregation is to support widows and orphans. . . not to suck the lifeblood out of them.

Someday our loved ones will leave us or we leave them in death, but the presence will remain in memories of the good times, and in old photos. These are the possessions of true wealth that can't be stolen. However it's a shame that also with death often burgling fingers want what is not their entitlement.

Iam obviously not aware of the widows circumstances, her emotional attachment to the congregation, but if she regrets the circumstances in which she gave money possibly a letter from a solicitor would be advised. To my knowledge a signed pledge is not a legal contract?

But is the money being used to build a Hall or sent to mother, quite different to the pre-death pledge. A promise of any sort that is not specified in the final Will is worthless and to try to collect on it is disgusting. I agree with the Rebel, get a solicitors letter sent demanding money back as it was taken under pressure. Or call the police. Status of widow in jW land of course at play. Any young children to support the mother, and possibly THEIR inheritance?

Punk I read some of your past posts, in one on C.Os you mentiond Ray Shaw was a narcissistic personality. This saddened me, because your summination may now be true. However I knew Ray when he attached himself to my congregation as a special pioneer, and he was then a great bloke. ( I also noted he special pioneered with housing accommodation paid with tax payers money, which I felt was wrong, and is proof the organisation is only about money without principal) Anyway Ray's mother was a witness and he wasn't, he was a heavy drinker before he converted. Maybe this is why I have fond memories of Ray, he was still a normalish guy when I knew him.

Anyway to cut a long story short, he got promoted to be a C.O in Leeds, and the last thing he ever said to me was " write me with any good experiences you have in the field service" He was sincere in that, and a good guy. That was the last time Ray and I ever spoke. That is why I was saddened to read your comment, it made me realise how the lndoctrination and promotions in what ever capacity can and will erode away the good guy in us.

I am so pleased I chose happiness to being respected in the " Worldwide" organisation.

Reb - Ray Shah was the bloke....is Ray Shaw a different geezer? He was from ooop narth..Leeds, yes. Ray Shah was an unapproachable company man that spouted nothing but hateful WBT$ junk. It's a shame indeed!

Nana - "Excuse me JW organisation, did you not read somewhere that the idea for the Christian congregation is to support widows and orphans. . . not to suck the lifeblood out of them."

    Spot on!

Lost - I agree, but I know the widow and she won't dob the scum in 3 years down the line.

I want to know who it was from the BOE that went to suck her dry....sadly, as I'm shunned by the Jobos, finding out now would be difficult and a solicitor would be too stressful for her.
