I wondered. Because I know of no other group or religion that promote "no blood". Well, except for some rare sects that reject medical treatment altogether.

I'm acquainted with Larry Eitel. He is a JW. I haven't spoken with him in several months, but last time we talked, the staff of the site was all active JWs. The site content, however, was strictly non-religious.

Yes indeed Larry Eitel is a Jehovah's Witness. I knew him when I attended the La Jolla, CA congregation about 25 years ago.
