45 degrees celcius and celebrating Christmas.
That's why they all come to Canada and immigrate here... can't take the flat, can't take the heat. B'out the only thing that you got going for you is your wonderful beaches... that would last me about 3 days and I would be bored of it.

Yep, Shamus, you've never done Christmas properly until you've eaten a large roasted dinner in 35 degree heat.
Maybe it's the utopian socialist state that is Canada that my former compatriates seek.
As for the beetles, they come out around December, hence the name and start buzzing around any outside lights and getting in the house and making weird buzzing noises when they get caught in various nooks and crannies. They drive the cats nuts!

I have never heard of a Christmas beetle. Is that their only name?

Me and my mom just finished cleaning the house and now we are decorating, we just got the tree up and she is putting lights on it

They're called Christmas Beetles because they come out around summertime, which here is Christmas, SNS. Don't you have something similar in the US, a June Bug, or some such?
