  What independently verified evidence can you provide that the jesus you believe in did the things that the bible claims he did ?

  The four gospels were written by unknown authors many decades after the so called events so not eyewitnes accounts.

• Titus 3:5:

  "He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. Through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit" (emphasizes the past tense "saved us").
• Romans 5:10:

  "For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" (highlights the past action of reconciliation through Christ's death)
