So I never got in with the JWs far enough to know the detailed teachings regarding the 144k going to heaven.
They are rulers with Jesus in heaven?
Shouldn't they be in charge of the WTS? Shouldn't they be the ones translating, guiding and ruling the governing body?
Aren't they in communications with Jesus since 1914?

Well, since 2012 new light has revealed that the Faithful and Wise Servant class is only a small group of men in New York, currently 7 in number. I suppose the rest of the anointed class will have to wait till after Armageddon to start ruling.
According to Rev, 20:4 the rulers in heaven will have been killed by the axe, (modern version: Guillotine, falling axe) for championing "Jesus" so, morphine assisted euthanasia ( good death) in a wt compound will disqualify you from ruling. rude, but scriptural.

If you have been around Witnesses in recent years, you will pick up on the fact that they don't think very highly (to put it mildly) of people who have come out in recent years saying they are "anointed". The religion printed articles trying to discourage them..If you haven't been around, you might not know that.
Too many people in recent years have come out claiming to be anointed. The religion does not pay them any mind.

Jehovah's Witnesses have actively persecuted their own who claim to be of the Annointed. If you weren't part of the Governing Body, at Bethel, or really old your claim of being of the 144,000 was frowned upon and you were looked at skeptically. High ranking members of the organization actively sought out such ones like the Spanish Inquisition and trumped up charges to disfellowship them.
Part of the reason is, at one time, the organization had certain rules that Annointed brothers who were elders automatically got put in charge of certain things. This caused envy among elders, circuit, and district overseers who were of the Other Sheep.

Are all these anointed ones throughout the earth part of a global network that is somehow involved in revealing new spiritual truths? No. Although as a composite body the slave class is responsible for feeding the spiritual household, not all individuals of the slave class have the same responsibilities or work assignments. If the WTBorg Inc. Cult was truly anointed those in leadership roles would have the Mind of Christ; they'd have a solid comprehension of Bible Truth; they'd prophesy without falsehood and their lives would reflect the highest qualities of goodness and love.
Obviously that is not the case. Those men who proclaim themselves to be something they are not are therefore liars. They are doing the works of The Adversary. They are leading their followers away from what is Good under the guise of being the "chosen channel of the voice of God." Gotta give Satan very high marks for his creativity and cleverness.
I was taught that the f&ds was all the workers at bethel who produce all the books etc.
I have also learned that the gb never gets the anointed together at any time to conference on the scriptures.
