As these last days linger on and the end never comes, and more and more people leave the grips of the Watchtower indoctrination machine, and it's financial situation gets worse and worse, I think we should expect the GB decision maker to become more and more delusional from the stresses of running a rapidly failing business.

Delusional disorder is a rare condition and difficult to study; as a result, it is not widely discussed in clinical research. While the cause is unknown, some studies suggest that people develop delusions as a way to manage extreme stress or deal with a history of trauma. Genetics may also contribute to the development of a delusional disorder. Individuals are more likely to be diagnosed with delusional disorder if they have family members with schizophrenia or schizotypal personality disorder.

    Treatment

A challenge in the treatment of delusional disorders is that most patients have limited insight, and do not acknowledge that there is a problem.[3] Most patients are treated as out-patients, although hospitalization may be required in some cases if there is a risk of harm to self or others.[3] Individual psychotherapy is recommended rather than group psychotherapy, as patients are often quite suspicious and sensitive.[3] Antipsychotics are not well tested in delusional disorder, but they do not seem to work very well, and often have no effect on the core delusional belief.[3] Antipsychotics may be more useful in managing agitation that can accompany delusional disorder.[3] Until further evidence is found, it seems reasonable to offer treatments which have efficacy in other psychotic disorders.[19]
Psychotherapy for patients with delusional disorder can include cognitive therapy which is conducted with the use of empathy. During the process, the therapist can ask hypothetical questions in a form of therapeutic Socratic questioning.[20] This therapy has been mostly studied in patients with the persecutory type. The combination of pharmacotherapy with cognitive therapy integrates treating the possible underlying biological problems and decreasing the symptoms with psychotherapy as well. Psychotherapy has been said to be the most useful form of treatment because of the trust formed in a patient and therapist relationship.[21]
Supportive therapy has also been shown to be helpful. Its goal is to facilitate treatment adherence and provide education about the illness and its treatment.
Furthermore, providing social skills training has helped many persons. It can promote interpersonal competence as well as confidence and comfort when interacting with those individuals perceived as a threat.[22]
Insight-oriented therapy is rarely indicated or contraindicated; yet there are reports of successful treatment.[22] Its goals are to develop therapeutic alliance, containment of projected feelings of hatred, impotence, and badness; measured interpretation as well as the development of a sense of creative doubt in the internal perception of the world. The latter requires empathy with the patient's defensive position.[22]

I don't think they will ever get these diagnoses if they use the Doctor's at Bethel.

BBW, good exposition should be no more than 15-20% quotes. The majority should be your analysis and commentary.

You’re getting better, but you’ve still a ways to go.

Check out this handout from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill:

It will make you a better writer.

By the way, there are two ts in “getting.”

It was surprising how many sources I had to consult to know if it was “ts” or “t’s” or “Ts.”

But there was no disagreement about the word “getting.” You spelled it wrong.

Brokeback WT - "Is the delusional Governing Body getting more delusional?"

It's a surprisingly easy habit to fall into when you surround yourself solely with people who are never allowed to disagree with you.

There's a few assumptions in the question of the OP.

One is that they are deluded. In my opinion, they are not (at least not all of them)

The geebee is certainly not swindling, lying, controlling on accident due to some mistaken belief. I suspect some or all of them don't even believe in the bible/god/Jesus. I have no problem with that lack of belief generally but in top leadership of a religion, it should be a prerequisite.

In a cult, belief/fear of a deity could cause you to not want to purposely be an a$$hat to millions worldwide and would not be conducive to top leadership.

I don't know Mr R, Tony the Tight Pants seem pretty far over the edge of delusional not to mention old Rubber Face Lett, I know this is the extreme of the GB, but the rest seem very close to this type of delusional in allowing these fruitcakes such exposure to the public in allowing them to continue carrying on uncheck by the majority. Apparently the fact that these 2 clowns can still be allowed to make video's that the rest are not very different from them in their delusions of being this Faithful and Discreet Slave that must be obeyed by the Rank&File, they really believe they are Jehovah's earthly organization. Delusional beyond belief. Just listening to AM#3 speak for Jehovah and what he hates and finds disgusting about tight pants should give us a clue about how delusional the rest of the body is. They really believe their own lies, to reach this stature in the Organization and the delusion at this stage is very hard to maintain due to everything they are in denial of and so are suffering severe brain shrinkage along with leading a very empty/hollow life centered around WT Corporation directives requiring loyalty and obedience.

When you refer to people as being delusional in the mental-health diagnosis sense of the word, you invite trouble.

Who decides whose faith meets or doesn't meet criteria for a Delusional Disorder?

Couldn't we look at huge swathes of believers in all the big religions on earth - Hinuism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, among others - and declare they are all deluded? And if not all, then who and how many exactlyexactly?

It is one thing to try to fathom out whether the GB really believe it - but it is another thing altogether to imply or attribute mental health disorders such as Delusional Disorder and its variants.

Well, in the past, you hardly were exposed to the GB except thru assemblies or an occational quote in a mag. We had no idea how weird the individuals were. Now that they are so out front it is impossible to hide their lack of education, morals, insanity etc. I now say the borg really does embrace a trinity....Jah, Jesus, and the GB. In fact, the GB seems to have more power than the other two.

I'm not a professional like yourself so I don't think I will be inviting any trouble I'm just a semi educated l layman in my diagnosis and so I'm not using delusional in the clinical diagnosis sense but merely in the regular guy off the street sense.
