Oopsie!
If Jesus' hand picked FDS was a baseball player his batting avg. Would be .000!
Yes the Jews will never be restored as a nation but they have the opportunity to come under the theocratic government (Himself) and the JWS organization.
Man that guy could bulllshit up a story couldn't he ?
He was drunk on both power and booze.
Excellent Find! Many thinks to you.... going in my archives.
For a comparison:
In 1909, while Israel was just a wasteland, before any Balfour Declaration could give any indication of the restoration of Israel, before WWI, Here is what the Scofield Reference Bible said about the restoration of Israel.
Hm, this still ranks below buying a house to host people coming back from the dead. The fact that many of today's JW policies were implemented by that lunatic should be enough to discredit the entire organization.
Good catch Edenone
In that time just look what the Jewish nation have achieved.
What have the Jehovah's witnesses achieved, under the direction of the watchtower society, in twice that time - apart from making the corporation billions of dollars???
NOTHING!! Worse than nothing, in fact. They've just impoverished generations of witnesses, spiritually, creatively, intellectually and financially.
Along the lines of the old Consolation article note what the WT wrote published as late as in 1946 in their 1946 edition of the "Let God Be True" book on pages 207-209 (see http://www.strictlygenteel.co.uk/letgodbetrue/godbetrue16.html ).
"If more Jews are in the future gathered to Palestine, it will only
be a political, humanitarian gesture, and not of God's provision according to prophecy. God's promises concerning restoration are being fulfilled upon his spiritual Israelites, Jehovah's witnesses, who are the remnant of faithful followers of His Messiah.
...
20 The facts and prophecies prove that the natural Jews will never again be a chosen, re-gathered people. They have as a people flagrantly rejected the Messiah, his truth and his
kingdom. It is a false hope that they must be regathered to Palestine and be converted in mass to Jesus Christ prior to his second coming and as a sign of the early establishment of his kingdom. God's kingdom was established A.D. 1914, and then Christ Jesus came into Kingdom power at his Father's right hand, and this without any mass conversion of natural Jews to Christ. Much of their suffering has been brought upon themselves by their commercial, rebellious course of action. They will ever be a target of assault by Satan and his agents until Armageddon cleanses the earth of all opposers of Messiah-Christ. Therefore, their only hope is to accept Jehovah's Messiah, Christ Jesus, and come under the protection of his kingdom."
What can be counted on, in any WT interpretation, is the phrase, "the Scriptures conclusively prove ..." or something similar. Always!
But that's what happens when you set yourself up as God's only channel of communication. You can't allow yourself to be tentative. And the irony is, over the long haul people would appreciate the honesty involved in being tentative.
Actually, Romans 11:25-27 suggests they will be regathered at the end as the conclusion upon the restoration. But it surely does not speak about Zionist Christ rejecting rogue state created in 1948 who is pretty mean to the muslims, although we dont like them either
