I've been flying R/C model planes for over 30 years. Here is a picture of one of my favorites being held by my brother who will be 70 this January. We went over for a little flying today at our flying field. It is a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. It's about a five minute drive from my home.
cool! Out in a suburb of Dallas they have this one field that has been used for years by the RC people and their flying machines. So many times I passed that seeing the things flying about. I always wanted to do that, but unfortunately I am so not mechanical enough I don't think. However, I do have a Piper. She's 4, in Pre-kindergarten and loves to beat up on boys older than her.
I couldn't get the particular thread you posted. Does your brother fly R/C planes? I competed in pattern flying for several years and won several trophies but haven't done this for several years. I still enjoy flying my J3 Piper though.
