Well, I am an ex JW, disfellowshipped twice. Yes - you heard right. First time when I was 18, second time when I was 33. The last 30 years I have spent abroad - always in different countries (Diplo. Serv.) and saw a lot - especially, as I was always sent to the hot-spots of this world - so I made Afghanistan for nearly 6 years, was in South Sudan, CAR etc. You can imagine... Now, finally after all these years (and partially I was really bad) I have found a way back to a simple belief in Jesus. I read the Bible every day and learned so much.... But it is - now looking back - very humiliating to see, how much God actually interfered in my life - all these small miracles... Otherwise I would not be dead, trust me. I have lost all my family and with them my home (I have not been in my home country for more than 15 years now) and have no intention to return. I am now on retirement - and live partially in Spain, partially in Africa, am married to a Chadian Woman (best Christian I have ever met in my life) and we are a "church" of two members. I love moving around, nature, adventure, sport - but have as well medical issues and try to fight hard. As we are very active in Africa (for the Church there), contact me, if you are in for adventure. We have an apartment and who helps, is always welcome. Only condition: You must speak French fluently.

Greet you all with a song, I made some days ago. Hope you like it. If you suffer from Depression....

At the end, I would like to say that being a Christ is not complicated and many people tend to fix too many things, which are normally items I decide with my "conscience". I do not like to judge either - JWs were a part of my life, I have come over it and still know some good people. I have no hate or bad feeling. I just wish I could do more to wake them up. But I guess, each one has to find his own way or time to wake up.

    Hey Dromedar007,

Fellow Christian here, fluent in French btw, and Spanish too for that matter. I keep in touch with some friends in Africa, wonderful Christian minded folks who likewise have suffered through a lot.

It was nice to read your post, and welcome to the JW Discussions Forum.

    God Bless!
