Jehovah's Witnesses are masters at changing definitions of words to redirect thoughts. They have done this effectively with common theological terms. The result is that even when people leave, many still think the JW's have "some truth" and that maybe its just the leadership that is the problem.

This video below is exceptional in that it EXAMINES common, secular terms used by JW's to illustrate the thought and concept control they exert on others, using nothing more than alternate word definitions. It's a must see for believers and secularists alike. Brilliantly done.

The Watchtower has hijacked so many words to fit their theology including "generation", Babylon the Great", "salvation", "other sheep", "Great Crowd " 144,000 etc. etc.

Their version of the "modern other sheep" is fascinating.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. (John 10:16)

And other sheep have I, which are not of this fold: no, because the modern other sheep:

    1. will only begin being called early on in the 20th century...not before.

    2. They will not be saints of God,

    3. They will not have the indwelling Holy Spirit.

    4. My righteousness will not be imputed to them.

    5. They will not be justified to life,

    6. They will not merit being raised in the first resurrection

    7. I will not be their personal mediator;

    8. They will not be part of my New Covenant arrangement.

    9. They will not be entitled to partake of the emblems of my death.

    10. They will not have a heavenly hope

    11. They will be not Spirit Begotten Son's of God.

    12. They will need to be affiliated with the Watchtower Society to be saved from ultimate destruction at Armageddon.

"Highlights of the Past Year - The Light Keeps Getting Brighter." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Why did it take me so many years of peacefully fading, before I was shown the org's perversion of the verse:

(Proverbs 4:18) But the path of the righteous...........grows brighter and brighter until full daylight.

The path of the righteous one gets brighter, the light (Bible) never changes to dark then light again - the way the org's dogmas do.

(Psalm 119:105) "Your word is a lamp to my foot, And a light for my path."

I realised that Proverb referred to the life course of a Righteous man ONLY, when I was in the org. it was patently a misuse of its obvious meaning to extend it to greater enlightenment on Scripture etc. it simply has nothing to do with that.

I also thought that the "Righteous man" in the Proverb could equally be someone who lead a morally upright life without necessarily being a worshipper of Jehovah.

It is a stand alone Proverb, probably originating outside of Israel. I also while still in ,and in fact years before I actually left, realised the profligate use of Trigger Words by the Org to exercise Mind Control over the members. But at the time I just thought it was designed to guide new converts, which it was of course, but was far more insidious than I then realised.

These things were just some of the matters that made my Cognitive Dissonance rise to screaming level, and I finally properly examined the org's Doctrines and Practices, and then felt compelled to walk away.
