Counterfeit Donations to Watchtower

  From time to time a ring of counterfeiters makes their way through my area. According to the FBI, the ring is run by Columbians. Someone told me that one time counterfeit money was placed in the Kingdom Halls donation box. They said the brother in charge was embarrassed when he tried to deposit the money in the Kingdom Hall's bank account when the teller told him the news. This incident was brought up at the next meeting and they accused and disfellowshipped one brother for being the counterfeiter. There was no proof or witnesses but because this brother was hispanic (he was Puerto Rican), and the counterfeiters were Columbian, they accused framed this man.

  A MAJOR roll of the eyes on this one!! We all know that the JW's apply the "two witness" rule only when they feel like it. But once you get on their bad side, they'll do WHATEVER to get you out of their way.

  Yeah -- Puerto Rico, that Carribean island, is close neighbors with Columbia in Northwestern South America. Geez. Let's lump all foreigners into a boat and set them adrift, why don't we?

  Puerto Ricans are citizens of the Untied States and therefore not foreigners.

  It does seem to be a clear case of prejudice for them to assume it was a brother because of his skin color. They should all be falsely accused someday and learn how it feels. Sad.

  When "Brother" Bob Tilton used to be on the air my friend and I used to watch for the entertainment value. We used to send stacks of play money you could buy at the dime store. Always included a little note about how the fake money was perfect for the phoney minister.
