    Hi All,

The first cousin that sent me the e-mail that I posted here died yesterday. Also a classmate of mine died yesterday and my wife's best friend from work died last month.

My friend from my youth, not a JW, called and told my wife about my cousins death. He grew up with me over in the country. I guess none of the JWs will call me. Don's sister lives next door to where they grew up as teenagers and next door to my old home place. I guess I will hear more and more of deaths untill I die myself.

He was living near Asheville NC. Don't know if I will go to the funeral yet.

Sorry there is so much death among those you know Ken. Yes, indeed, we will all see that now, since we know we won't live forever any more.

Ken, I'm so sorry for your losses. Growing up sucks, doesn't it? I hate realizing that I'm getting older and that death is even a remote possibility, and that my friends will one day die too. I hope you will find comfort in whatever you believe now and please realize that no one's life is a waste -- all of us contribute something to this universe by being alive and, if we try, it is something positive for future generations to build on.

    Love & hugs,

    Nina

There was one more that I forgot, my wife's first boyfriend that she fell for. He died also this week.

    Ken,

You had better watch your ass and take cover for the rest of this month ol' bud!

Hey seriously....I know you and I think alike on many matters about life and what is beyond it. Every time you and others who are especially concerned about these "matters" hear of a death....we always get a big reality check when someone close to us dies. We start thinking about our own mortality and it can get a bit scary. My wife told me over dinner tonight that a patient where she works is dying of lung cancer. This patient is only 44 years old and smokes only 1 pk. per day. I smoke 1 pk. a day and I'm 49. That bugged me.

Yes....we will ALL die. In 50 years, nearly every one posting and this board will have expired......if that makes ya feel any better.

Merry Christmas Ken.....and I'm sorry for your recent losses.
