Anybody See The January 22, 2004 Awake?

  Today, when I came home from the hospital, I saw the back of the 2004 Awake and something struck my fancy. It appears that it has pictures of the holy name in Hebrew engraved in pyramids. I opened up the magazine and it was filled with even more of those pictures, and a picture of a weird looking face on page 11.

  How about this for a proposition: By keeping the R&F's attention on the OT, they avoid having to explain essential christian teachings of the NT?

  I think this is it....

  If you add together the average number of degrees found in the obtuse angles of these sacred pyramids containing the mystical divine name... and add that number to 1914, you can calculate the precise year of Armageddon!

  Pyramids? Since I don't subscribe to these crappy magazines I haven't seen it. Are these the pyramids of Egypt? Are these the very same pyramids that they said in 1928 that they were built by people not favored by God and therefore in league with Satan and in whom belief was incorrect? Are they changing their minds about this yet again?

  crinklestein, I think they didn't think about the picture aside from it backing their ancient examples of the divine name theme. I doubt there is any more to it than that. They would like to forget that chapter of their history I'm sure.
