The exact opposite -- child abuse -- it is the view to the OUTSIDE that is all important -- do not report things to the police/authorities -- it shows the WTBTS in bad light -- WTBTS for last few years has had a "Publicity/Media Relations Dept --aka J.R.Brown -- all about what the WTBTS is seen to the OUTSIDE - but inside there is not even a hint a reform - nobody on the GB would dare anyway as they do not want to have happen to them what happened to Ray -- so as usual the WTBTS is actually anti-scriptural not just unscriptural.
Loads of buildings/assembly halls kingdom halls etc -- all seen by the OUTSIDE -- but inside unloving, uncaring, harsh on discipline re -- df/da/legalism/blood issue etc.

Basically the scripture means to be a good person on the inside. .......have a good heart.
I see witnesses that have good hearts and are good people, however the organisation they believe they must succumb to, leaves them with dirty innerds they do not deserve.
The dirtiest part of the cup that jesus mentioned, was the hardened scum at the bottom in which the GB live in, and are drowning in.

Your the one who supplied the info. paduan. Both were object examples meaning the same thing. ......to clean what you eat from. He could have said "cup" only, and meant the same thing.

All I've heard were things like, "...that it does not bring reproach upon Jehovah's organization..." when someone threatened to go to the authorities or to the media. So it seems that they are more concerned with their image than their heart. And being that the image is an external thing and the heart is internal I would say they are more concerned with making sure the surface of their cup is clean rather than making sure that what they are filling the cup with is clean.
