Watched the Debate

I suffered through the democratic debate on Fox this evening.

This is the first time I've ever really paid attention to Rep Dennis Kucinich...the guy's a total nut job...he has zero chance of getting the nomination...much less elected.

If Lieberman had a personality...he'd be a threat...not only to the Dem candidates, but maybe even to Bush.

Right now it looks like a Kerry/Edwards Ticket...it'll be interesting.

I too watched the debate, although I didn't feel that I 'suffered' through them. I really haven't paid much attention to the debates previously, and now that the herd has been thinned, I was interested in hearing their points of view. I agree... Lieberman would be hard for the Republicans to nail on differing views. Dennis Kucinich looks like a graduate of the Ohio School on Embalming.... (how he's lasted this long, I am clueless).

Bush's shoe-in would have been up against howling Howard (Dean)... that looks like it's history. Yes, looks like a Kerry/Edwards ticket. That would be interesting, however when people start to examine Kerry, they'll find a Teddy Kennedy clone as far as his tax and spend record - that, might turn some people off.

Leiberman is as electable as Himmler. I still don't know what he stands for. I ain't budged....Clark, then Dean, Kerry if he promises to get tough against Bush.

Dennis is waaaaay out there, but I'm kinda pullin for him, ya know? The way you pull for a bad team during the season. You know they're not going to the playoffs...you just would like to see them do well. Like hoping Vanderbilt can beat Arkansas and go 5-7.

Dennis Kucinich looks like a graduate of the Ohio School on Embalming.... (how he's lasted this long, I am clueless). I'm glad YOU said that, but I agree...and he is WAYYYY out there...Geesh.

Bush's shoe-in would have been up against howling Howard (Dean)... that looks like it's history. Dean is still pulling a lot of money...he's not dead yet. Yes, looks like a Kerry/Edwards ticket. That would be interesting, however when people start to examine Kerry, they'll find a Teddy Kennedy clone from Kerry's little "impromptu" anti-war speech before congress in 70's Kerry has belonged to Swimmer Kennedy...whose staff wrote the "impromptu" speeach as far as his tax and spend record - that, might turn some people off.Honestly...the Republicans don't look any better on the "spend" half of that. It's an issue.

Dean can't be elected in the general population because he says he'd raise EVERYONE's taxes. The $60.00 a month I'm keeping from the Bush tax cuts would be gone. That's $60.00 less a month I put into the economy...multiple that by all the other millions of people and you take Billions, perhaps hundreds of billions, out of the economy...YIKES. FOLKS the government ain't good at creating jobs...the private sector does that much better, but they need money to do it.

Let's not forget that some of the job loss is due not to economic policy...the economy is growing...it's on fire, a lot is due to how the economy is changing. Take Kodak for instance...they're getting ready to drop 15,000 jobs, not because they're hurting financially, but because people aren't buying film cameras anymore, it's all going digital. More than half the cameras bought in the West are digital now. No more 35MM film being produced...all that staff is going. The economy is changing significantly...and the private sector needs to keep as much of it's money as possible so it can learn how to profit (and therefore create jobs) in the new economy. The industrial base is going away.

I'd also meant to comment on something I did notice from more than one of the candidates...I heard the term SUBMIT to the UN, I think from Kucinich, and several sentiments just like that. Now we can work WITH them, but if we ever SUBMIT to them, YIKES!
