Laughed because the WTS must really be getting a fire put under it?s ass. Just speculation, but I?m guessing that some R&F, and maybe even higher ups, PO?s, CO?s, maybe even DO?s, are asking questions. And they are not getting answers.
And so it is perpetuates.
And I?m sad because my wife believes this stuff and I used to fall for it as well. I really didn?t know how I used to fall for this stuff.
Both study articles deal with the F&DS. The WTS ismaking sure that the R&F read it because they don?t even have the time to read the mags on their own before they place them door to door.
At one paragraph it was discussing how the F&DS MUST be a class. The F&DS was formed at Pentecost 33 C.E. and the Bible clearly shows [I love it when the WTS uses words such as ?clearly shows, of course, obviously, any reasonable person can see..?] that the F&DS will be around when Christ arrived in 1914.
And if the F&DS wasn?t a class, then it must be a person who would be alive during that entire time. And not even Methuselah lived that long!

Yes, that is OBVIOUSLY IT! Obviously, some body of authority had to be in existence that entire period of time to fulfill this parable by Jesus. [How come Russell didn?t join that F&DS when he came on the scene? Why did he start his own, new group?]
If you don?t realize what the WTS is pointing out here, then they are telling the reader that you are stupid enough to consider that a human would have to be alive almost 2,000 years.

Left to our own thought processes, we?d spend our days running the blender with the cover off and squeezing ourselves into our refrigerators to see if the light really turns off when we close the door.
How insulting! I felt like I was reading a children?s storybook. Like I was being talked down to. The entire article was like written like this.
It carried on how the F&DS was soooooooo discreet in 1914. Evidence clearly shows [there we go again with the trigger words] that these early bible students were selected as that F&DS when Jesus arrived.
Evidence clearly shows? I?m sorry, but once again, what evidence is this exactly???
The WTS does this claim of evidence in their mags often, but then fails to offer up any real quotes from early publications to show the evidence on what they really believed.
I wanted to take a big, red pen and write down in annotations in my wife?s study article;

But I didn?t.
Just more posturing by the WTS. And no one is ever allowed to call them on their bluff.
They are the sole player at the poker table gambling with everyone?s lives, anteing up more and more lives into the pot with little care, since the WTS is the only player at the table to collect.
It is my small, innermost desire that sites like this are starting to let us ?Sit Down? at the table and call the WTS? bluff. They keep anteing the pot, calling us apostates liars, adulators, fornicators, an ?evil slave?, drunkards and given beyond all common sense.
But articles like this makes me think that the WTS must be getting some heat.
They are starting to see that the Internet is letting too many see what the WTS is really holding in their hands.
A couple of un-sequential spades, a face card, and somehow they were dealt the Joker card.
But we see what they are holding. And it doesn?t amount to shat.
And what are we holding in our hand?
We have child molestation cases,
We got the UN scandal.
We have the free flow of information.
We have bonding without fear against a common enemy.
We have the REAL truth of the matter.
We may not have all of the answers, but after a couple of discards and take a hit for two more cards, and it looks like we are on the way to a full house.
The WTS? house of cards has to fall. I don?t know when, but it has to crumble eventually.
Just the sheer amount of new ones that arrive here on a weekly basis since I have been here in my seven-month period gives me reason to hope.
I guess I always root for the underdog?
