Today, of all days brands the whole the WT org and all of its basic ideas as wrong and misguided.

Why? Firstly, the veterans of D Day have been on our screens, modestly talking of their part in the liberation of France on this day in 1944 are a quiet witness to the preposterousness of the generations doctrine. There is no manipulation of the WT interpretation of the generation prophecy that can trump that fact.

These modest men and women are all in their 90s and it is acknowledged that this will be the last celebration that they will attend.

Secondly, nobody likes war, nobody wants the loss of life that occurred but who, looking back would argue that the job started on that day di not need doing and that the freedom that its success gave Europe and the world was a bad thing.

The much vaunted alternative, the Kingdom of God has done nothing to promote these values and I say never will.

The WT and its disinformation machine should slink away and be relegated to a footnote in cult history.

The God of the Bible Jehovah had no problem starting and promoting wars to furthering his end did he ?

According to the records of the Old testament on numerous times, in what we would consider in our day as war crimes against humanity.

" The slaying of old men young men and virgins" ' "dashing to pieces children "taking virgins as spoils of war " "taking slaves "

its all in the Old testament and much more .

"Nobody likes war" S.F you said but apparently God /Jehovah did because he was so involved directly and indirectly in so many wars as recorded in the Old testament which is Gods word isn`t it ?

One of the most disgusting things the Society does is to hump the Old Testament which turns out to be one of the most criminal religious books ever compiled.

When one considers the level of evil the OT presents........there is simply no excuse to quote from a book that raises up the worst possible conduct humans can indulge in. It is a book of big lies and limp observations.

Unfortunately the New Testament is influenced and corrupted by the OT.

It shows Jesus as a wanna be Messiah in a questionable mental state. Followed by Paul who also was in a questionable mental state.

The NT presents it's own lies and in the book of Revelation takes Christianity to the extreme.

The WTBTS likes to think it is following first century Christianity. They are..... which means they abound with ignorance and reveal them selves as a death cult looking forward to billions dying at Armageddon.

    "Nobody likes war."

Before Moses came down from the Mount with the 10 Commandments, the Hebrews were polytheistic. With one Commandment (the very 1st one!) that was shattered, and the Hebrews were now monotheistic. Ever wandered why it was so easy for them to create and worship the Golden Calf image? Yeah, no big deal cause they were polytheistic.

Coincidentally, the Israelite God of War? YAHWEH. Funny, aye? Guess he kicked the shit out of the other god's, and won the top spot.

quote - … God /Jehovah did because he was so involved directly and indirectly in so many wars as recorded in the Old testament which is Gods word isn`t it ? - end quote

Imagine that, Jehovah chose to have recorded in the Old testament all the information about the wars that you say he was directly and indirectly involved in.

Maybe he/she had a Senior`s moment or didn`t foresee what impact the internet would have on his "word" in the OT.

    "Nobody likes war."

"Jehovah of Armies," must be the nobody that likes war.

Could not prevent the Civil War between Judea/Benjamin and the ten tribe kingdom.

Caused by a tax revolt, a generation gap.

Like, for instance, that the goddess Asherah was Yahweh's wife?

That's what happens when history is written by the victors.
