  	Father's Touch debuts tonight

  Father's Touch will have its premiere screening at Wolf Performance Hall tonight. "I was intrigued by the challenge of telling a story adapted from the first chapter of a book using only silent, moving pictures and music," said Louise Fagan, director of the film based on Father's Touch, an autobiographical memoir by Londoner Donald D'Haene.

  During its 6 1/2 -minute running time, the impressionistic movie profiles a middle-aged man revisiting his troubled past, both physically and in vivid recollections.

  Appearing in the film are D'Haene and a cast of local actors who portray the ghost-like figures in the author's memory.

  The presentation, by Fagan's film and video company Phat Puppy Productions, features an original music score by her brother, composer Jonathon Fagan.

  Father's Touch was named to the top 50 list, from more than 1,600 entries, at TriggerStreet, an online, worldwide film festival established by Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey. The film can be viewed on the festival's website: www.triggerstreet.com.

  Fagan plans to submit her film to several other cinema festivals, including the 2004 Toronto International Film Festival, and specialty TV networks. It will also be made available for use by social service agencies dealing with the issue of family abuse.

  The $20,000 screen project was funded in part by a $5,000 grant from the London Arts Council.

  Admission to today's public screening and reception, which begins at 7:30 p.m. at the hall in Galleria London, is free.

  This is good stuff people. Just watched it on www.triggerstreet.com and direction/editing remind me a lot of Chris Carters Millennium's first season (especially the episodes directed by David Nutter)

  Well worth a watch.
