  We all have special places we like to go to, where everybody knows your name. I have a favorite place down here in Texas. It's a little honky tonk, down near the river, and I go there, and I see all my neighbors, and visit with them. There's kids there. They bring their kids there so they can socialize while the adults socialize. I like this place. It's a special place because we can all let our hair down and just be REAL. There's a Toby Keith song that personifies this:

  i actually like going to the placed called j-town in my city. thats the bar to go to here =D

  Yes, we have a bar like that.

  It's called "Gus's Pub", been around since before my time. If you go there by yourself, someone from the 'hood will always invite you to join their party. "don't sit there alone, come join us, we insist".

  There's always an awful country band singing off-tune, it's dingy and smoky (well, at least before the smoking ban), and people get up and dance and clown around. Kinda like a kitchen party every weekend.

  Oh, yes, and the food is great - best fish'n'chips in town!

  I get my sodas at The Riverside, which is not really my crowd, but the 1840 Lounge (my favorite) closed a while back, and my town is too small to have a whole lot of bars.

  And I get a chuckle from the fact that Riverside is the name of my old congregation, too.

  There is a little brew-pub in Little Rock called Vino's. They make six different types of beer on site and carry tons of other domestic and imported beers. (Their Fire House Stout is the BEST!!) They also make the best pizza and calzones in the city.

  There are so many different kinds of people that come into the place. They even bring their kids. The first time I saw one, it was still in the little baby carrier thing. It reminded me of the line from Sweet Home Alabama: "You have a baby!!! In a bar."

  hehe, at the bar here in town there's ALWAYS karaoke, and there's some damn good people...but for those good people there's always someone that sucks complete major donkey dick.....
