Often, when it has been considered that the situation has come down to the "LAST RESORT"deadly force has been used.In what situation would you consider it to be "The Last Resort?" And what would be the means of your last resort?

One example of what I am asking about is "WAR".What situation would it come down to for you to consider the last resort, the last available means for you to resolve your conflict, and what means would that be?

Other than war, what other situation FOR YOU PERSONALLY, that you have been involved in drove you to the "Last Resort"and what was the means of your last resort?

Another example of a last resort for you personally could of been when you decided how you were going to depart from the Watchtower Society and the means you would use to do so.For me the last resort for me in connection with the Watchtower Society was to do the fade for now and this might change into a different more stronger last resort in the future.

According to the Bible the last resort for God in the Garden of Eden was to condemn man to death and banish him for Eden.Very strong last resort for God,don't you think?

Then the Flood, very strong last resort,if you believe the Bible's version.

Then Sodom and Gomorah, also kill all the children, another last resort.on and on God has many times reached his last resort with deadly force and still will do so in the future,if you believe what the Bible says about this.

I think that the 'last resort' oftem refer to suicide like in the song of Paparoach...

-this is my last resort suffication no breathing

-dont give a fuck if i cut my arm bleeding

-do you even care if i die bleeding

-Would it be wrong, would it be right

-If I took my life tonight, chances are that I might

-Mutilation out of sight and I'm contemplating suicide

Well I think I might have talked about this on other threads. My last resort was when the docotors had given up on me and my diabetes. I had neuropathy spread like wild fire through me and I ended up loosing all muscle control in my stomach of all areas (usually it affects fingers and toes and feelings). ANyway it affected me so badly it had adverse effects of my heart, my stomach and many other parts of me. I could eat massive huge meals and never feel full becasuse of no muscle control. I ended up putting on massive amounts of weight and got morbidly obese and really deathly ill. So the doctors last resort was to staple my stomach. They could not guarantee me even waking up from the operation. Anyway I did die on the table but was revived and thank goodness it had the desired effect. I lost 68 kilo's (dont know what that is in pounds) and turned my life around. I still have the same problem with the stomach muscles but now I have will power and the incentive to know what will happen if I go out of control again. The doctors have told me there will not be a second time or another chance. That is enough to keep me scared straight!....

My other last resort was to leave my husband of 18 years after he tried to kill me several times and had reverted to a child and this is a very long story but leaving him was the last resort of long travelled road and trying many alternatives over the 18 years but in the end nothing else worked.

Losing weight. The Last Resort is the weight-loss surgery. I'm seriously considering it.

The Last Resort - it sounds like a retirement community in the Bahamas.

If you come through my window in the middle of the night, or if you are breaking down my door, or you are in my house threatening my wife or cats - you're leaving in a body bag. Maybe several body bags. Anything else, well, there are no possessions worth dying or killing for. And pride is a stupid reason to get into a fight in a bar. This, of course, assumes the presence of a funcitoning justice system. Otherwise, I'd have to be hunting down and killing the child molestors, etc, because I can't afford to build a place to keep them and I'm sure as hell not letting them get away with it. But then again, in the absence of a functioning justice system, my nature is to want to build one.

As far as war is concerned - it's a horrible thing, but I think when a dictator starts deliberate mass exterminations of his own citizenry is the crime against humanity that should signal international intervention. Weapons development, religious revivals, incompetent leadership - all these things can be tolerated as long as the basic nature of the human leader is that he wants to take care of his own people. The world is getting too small to put up with genocidal madness. Besides, if he can't keep from murdering his own citizens, what will he do if he gets his hands on an H-bomb? And Pyongyang is erratic, incompetent to the point of starving its own citizenry. Which is a crime.
