Has anyone come across detailed 2017 JW org statistics so we can compare them to previous years? Or are they now obscured in a soapy film of praise to the demi-gods at Warwick to disguise the decline?

Here is the latest report from their website:

It's a slimmed-down report from prior years - for example, they only show "peak" publishers, not "average" publishers.

"Peak" publishers is an inflated and misleading number, as it contains tens if not hundreds of thousands of duplicate reports from publishers who forgot to report in prior months.

But, it is now apparently the only way to compare one year over another.

Sorry half-banana, but as sir82 nicely put it, the old worldwide service year report has been "slimmed down".

For example, we do not even get to see how many attended the memorial by country - but instead we get one grand total. Similarly, nothing on average publishers even as a grand total. This slimmed down approach obscures decline. Another example: The current peak number of publishers for New Zealand is fewer than the peak number for 2011 - but you would not know this unless you went back to the earlier service reports.

Again, slimming down the service report is not the action of a growing, prospering organization.

Yes Steve-- slimmed down, like everything in JW land except the waist bands of the cult leaders. Mmmm, now why would that be?

Paradise will be slimmed down to mean the "spiritual paradise" only. The faithful will enjoy slimmed down truths and slimmed down information. All you have to do to get saved is believe every word on JWTV. Meetings will be limited to annual assemblies (for the purpose of finding breeding partners to keep the cult going). An elder will come to your house and baptise you with a jug of water (c'mon, total immersion is still only a symbol!)The slimmed down equivalent to meetings will be watching broadcasts from HQ at home since all KH's are to be sold. HQ Big brother will be watching you watch the screen and logging your reactions. Faith will be determined by the amount of time the individual spends there watching the Guardians Of Doctrines on JWTV............I get carried away.

Anyway it used to be easy to make a comparison of stats but now you have to be determined and waste a lot of time trying to find out.

According to 2017 Service Year * Report, Number of Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide is 8,457,107. If everyone of them is serious and brings one more person every year, their membership would double in every year, as the chart below:
